Dear pretties,
So, it has taken me three attempts to get into the plot of this installment. Automatic 1 star deduction.
After getting into the book I started to become horridly annoyed. The plot; well, I just keep having this reaction.
The magic system has almost advanced to beyond comprehension. Then there's a roller coaster of drama just like this. Questions are answered just to give you fifteen more questions!

Kara is trying to find and rescue her kidnapped friend while dealing with some bad guys who have teamed up with the already known bad guys, and I just couldn't bring myself to care very much about any of it.
I don't know if it was the story's fault or just bad timing, but it took me quite a while to finish the audiobook, which doesn't usually happen, and just wasn't engaged in any of it.

Lots seemed to always be happening, but not a great deal was achieved.
There wasn't a lot of Ryan, which was a shame as he is one of my favourites, and Zack seemed really stressed. Jill was upset as well.
Kara meanwhile was starting to get that Anita Blake vibe, which isn't good. A bit too much inner dialogue maybe. ...more
