Have no desire whatsoever to find out how this series ends. Given that the first book was just average for me, I see no reason to continue reading this.

I Stayed up all night to read this one.... ALL NIGHT!!!!
i love fairytale retellings and this is no different.
I think it could get a bit confusing if you have never read Cinder
.
However the story is quite easy to follow... note to self must re read cinder .
I read this in one sitting,( as i previously mentioned) due to it being a book that was very hard to put down.
might try listening to the audiobook next time, to see if it is still that addictive. ...more

We learn yet more about Cinder and her abilities and she continues to grow and get more intriguing as a character. We learn more about L

3.5 stars. Fun story that flips between Scarlet and Cinder's story lines. We learn more about Cinder, meet Scarlet, and observe the evil Queen Lavana as she promotes her agenda.

I really liked listening to the second part of Cinder's story but I wish it had been more about her and less about Scarlet.
While informative and interesting itself, I feel that her story was not necessary for Cinder's story, or at least not at this extent. Regardless, by seeing Scarlet and Wolf's points of view we get a behind-the-scenes glimpse into what Queen Levana has been planning, while at the same time get to know two of Cinder's new companions.
