Bo was a tad bit frustrating in the beginning, but it was understandable considering how things went in DIRE STRAITS. I'm really enjoying this series and looking forward to more. I do enjoy Ms. Harper's writing.

I do enjoy Helen Harper's writing.
Bo Blackman is back, as a fledgling vamp in the Montserrat house. She isn't happy. No one is happy because she is angry, snapping at everyone, and she doesn't like blood.
Once she is outside the Montserrat House system, she does quite a lot of stupid things, quite unlike the first book. Otherwise I would probably have given this one 5 stars.
Still, I liked the overall plot arc and the idea that whatever we are, humans, white witches, vamps, black witches, neo-dru ...more
