In Hidden, Alex is still feeling the aftermath of the events of Chosen, with the break of his friendships with Anne and Sonder. Then Anne is kidnapped and even though he knows this may not fix anything, he gets involved in trying to rescue her.

Felt a little shorter than other books in this series but it was a satisfying exploration of Anne's dilemma and furthers Alex's journey towards confronting his former dark master. Took me a long time to really get into Alex as a hero but I like him more with every book.

A good one but not as tightly woven or interesting as the previous volume. I'm glad, though, that Alex and Anne were able to solve their issues and become friends again. Sonder on the other hand... he can go and jump in a volcano for all I care. What a hypocrite, I hate people like him. My favorite character - and hopefully a long-term addition! - this time around? The blink fox! So cool!
