The magic of the south with a hot demon hunter and a sassy human turned Dalvahni. Evie Douglas is 100% a southern belle, as is her BFF Addy. Although this couple "got together" in the first book, Demon Hunting in Dixie, Evie, the heroine doesn't remember Ansgar, the Hero. In order to save her from a body stealing demon, he had to shoot Evie with a "magical" arrow and bring her back from the dead. Ansgar, thinking that Evie would be better off without him, erases himself from her memory. Although she doesn't remember Ansgar, she has an overwhelming feeling that she is missing something in her life.
