The Flooze
**September 2017 re-read: 4 stars.**

**Having now read books 2 and 3, the series is utterly worth slogging through the FBS. 1.13.10**

I'm having the most difficult time reviewing this one.

Kate Daniels is just my type of a heroine - she's strong, perky and smart, she kicks major butt but she is not obnoxious. I hate angry female heroes who have to prove how awesome they are to every man on principle. Kate isn't like that. She's good and she knows it and she proves her worth by doing her job. Awesome! Count me as a new fan for this series, I'm totally on-board. Kate is an engaging and realistic heroine. This is a gritty, urban paranormal drama that can laugh at itself, while still taking the genre to new heights. I'm enamored with practically all of the characters, intrigued by the edgy Atlanta of the future, and riveted by the problems that Kate had to solve. At this point, I have to admit that I've already finished the third in the series, Magic Strikes, so I'm writing this review rose-tint ...more
