I'm on the fence about this one. There were definitely some better aspects and I liked some of the world building, but for the most part it wasn't the debut I was hoping for. Meira, our heroine, is a little too much with everything. I gave this book a 4 because it took 150 pages to get interesting. I was about ready to give up on as I don't think it should take that long for a book to get interesting before it actually got interesting. Sorry for the repetition of the word "interesting."
I am glad that I didn't give up as this book turned out to be very good and creative. Raasch has created a very interesting world.
