odd, but interesting. a different take on her normal writing. My biggest issue and the reason I could not fall in love with it was all the grammar and spelling errors. they just made me crazy. but the plot was interesting, the love story was twisty and full of angst and sweetness and I am looking forward to the rest of the series.
Grant weaves her usual blend of historical romance and Fae fantasy, nicely illustrated in her Druid's Glen books, in this start of a new series about a group of warriors known as The Shields who protect the human realm from evil. I consider myself a big fan of Grant's books, largely in whole to the Druid series, and I was very much eager to begin this series.
