The story of Roni Axton, sister of the Mercury pack alpha and enforcer in the pack, and Marcus Fuller, enforcer of the Phoenix pack.

The two packs are working together to find the villains responsible for the attempted kidnapping of the Phoenix pack alphas' cub where Roni got injured, and the two enforcers are paired up for the hunt.

Our Hero, Phoenix Pack Enforcer, Marcus, and our heroine, Mercury Pack Enforcer Roni, who is also Alpha Nick's sister.

Both have twisted dark childhood traumas and seem to be equally dysfunctional but in totally different ways. Whilst the sexual tension when they see each other is off the scale, neither of them think it is anything other than sex. Boy are they wrong!

It's always good to catch up with previous couples and to have both packs working on a Jackal problem was inspired.

Marcus Fuller & Roni Axton

I have been enjoying the connection that's been developing over time between these two packs (Phoenix & Mercury), and now they have an added layer of connection with Marcus and Roni becoming an item.

I liked that Roni made Marcus work for her time and attention, even though she wasn't doing it in a bid for him to want her, just that she was being herself and he loved it and couldn't get enough.

This one is definitely one of my favorites of the series. Roni was such a great, unique heroine, and Marcus was fantastic. The way the two complimented each other, as a pair, was just beautiful.

This is the fourth book in the series and although I loved the first two, the third one fell a little flat. I wasn't sure what to expect from this one but after meeting Suzanne last year I was more than willing to give it a try and I am glad I did.

Suzanne never fails to entertain me with her hilarious characters and their crazy antics. She is also very good at writing scorching hot smexy scenes. Put both of these together and you have a great stories with characters that you can relate to.
