The story of Alex and Ted (whose nickname I really don't like), who finally find their way back to each other after many years and a lot of obstacles.

The resort is being built but not without problems, as another murder happens that causes delays. Alex and Ted get involved in Caleb's investigation to find the killer and deal with their relationship problems at the same time.

The tale of Cambio Springs continues with Alex McCann, heir to the Wolf Alpha, trying to build a spa & resort to bolster the town's finances & job prospects. He's also trying to get his ex-girlfriend Dr Ted to start believing in him again. Ted being a dominant cat shifter, both families are happy if they don't get back together, everyone else in town already knows its inevitable.

Every time I pick up an Elizabeth Hunter book I know I'm in for a treat. This one was no exception. I loved the story of Teodora (DON'T call her that!) and Alex. Having read the short story about them, I knew their back story and was rooting for them so much. I was so glad that Ted made it difficult for Alex, but didn't take too long to give in to him. He needed to make amends, but they've already spent too much time apart.

I'm really loving this series and small town full of shifters. The character are great as is the setting. I love learning more about the town and the different shifter clans. The romance was also great. I loved Ted - she's a great doctor and has to forgive Alex now that he is back in town. Alex is trying his best to make sure the small town survives by building a luxury resort and trying to win back Ted.
