Constant, unrelenting slang, a (big) number of pop culture references, a confusing prologue, are only a few of my issues.

I'm not really sure where to go with this one. I loved it, I hated it. I had to force myself through parts of it and then physically put the book down so as to not spoil myself.

I do know that I've been a bad reader. This is Banned Books Week. I should be reading books that have been banned. Instead, I found myself unable to peel away from the pages of The King. ASSAIL FOREVER!!!!!!! Too many different story lines. The pop culture references as well as the lingo are enough to make my head spin. What is an EF5? And no, I am not going to Google it. As usual, it's about 400 pages of a bunch of what the hell. Oh hey, I sound like Ward! Then the last 100 are exciting enough to make me feel bad about hating a book in one of my favorite series. Especially when said 100 pages contains scenes that makes me a little less shocked about the wedding episode of Game ...more
