Lovely, scary romance and surprisingly humorous. Both Lucien and Stephen were incredibly likable and their sex hot without being too descriptive. Great book, I will definitely buy the rest of the series and other books by this author.
4.5 stars - I was SHOCKED by how much I enjoyed this book!! It was one of those novels that immediately sent me out to buy EVERYTHING the author has written. This is first and foremost a great Victorian fantasy novel. The romance, which is central of course, just happens to be between two men. So don't feel weird recommending it to people who enjoy a good bit of magic.

I loved this little magical historical mystery! It had everything I like: English countryside setting, hints of magical powers, plenty of gothic spookiness, and gruff/cheeky sidekicks. Toss in a dash of romance and I was hooked. This series is a keeper!
