I’ve been highly anticipating the release of this book because I really enjoyed the first installment in this series and I couldn’t wait to see what happened next. DEVILS AND DETAILS definitely did not disappoint. It brought the story tighter together for sure and a lot of questions are answered. It was still a hell of a lot of fun to read!

A few niggly things but overall a terrific read.
The niggly things include our Police Chief Delaney Reed, not locking her front door despite people continually just walking in; going for a lone run along the beach when she knows someone is possibly out to get her and knowing when she has a wrong one in sight but doesn't even check him out.
Really looking forward to the next one! ...more

... some wounds only scar on the inside ...I love getting lost in Devon Monk's stories. I've enjoyed binging on books 1-2 and look forward to book 3, Gods and Ends, sometime in 2017. ...more

There was some action, danger, and peril in this book. I like the world building because it’s unique. There were fewer areas where it was hard to suspend my disbelief than the last one. The pacing and narrative was good and there were fairly good descriptions.
More lighthearted than most modern fantasies but only a few places were actually funny. Mostly it tried too hard.

I took my time with this one.
The characters are solid. :) I really like how everyone has a distinct personality.
Rar! The problems... just keep piling up! She is just so stubborn sometimes... but the worst is Ryder. Grrrrr. I haven't forgiven him. Pfft.
Is it really a small town? I'm imagining Gilmore girls town. ...more
