The Naturals is being billed as Criminal Minds meets Pretty Little Liars. Having seen neither myself, I can’t comment on this comparison but I did enjoy this book.

2017 Update: Backwards Re-read after finishing Killer Instinct

Original Review:

I am torn between wanting to finish this series, and the fact that it gave me nightmares, for the same reason that I could never watch Criminal Minds. For some reason, I can handle your average murder mystery (I can read the JD Robb In Death series, or watch CSI), but getting into the mind of a serial killer freaks me the Eff out!

Whenever I think of YA mystery books I think predictable and the obvious choice of the character who did the murders. In The Naturals I had it all wrong and not once guessed who was the bad guy until the end. I gave this book 5 stars because it deserved it. It was well written, I liked all the characters and I even liked the little love triangle (even though it's a trope I usually hate) I ended up liking both of the guys involved.
