This is a fast paced read. Set in the desert, it has plenty of surprises along the way for Amani the heroine, and for me I couldn't predict who's going to show up as new characters are introduced as I read. I love that all of them have purpose and not just thrown here and there to make sense.

I also like that Amani has superpowers and is extraordinary which was unraveled in the end. I also love her boyfriend Jin who has no powers at all except that he is an unknown and an unwilling prince who ha ...more
