This was really good. I had no idea who the bad guy was, which is pretty unusual.

Ivy is basically stalking Rafe Winter, when the Order offers her a chance to get up close & personal to her favourite reality show "Enchantment". They are filming a survivor type show in the Scottish Highlands. But what the Order don't tell her is that Necromancy is in the air.

Lots of suspects, clues all over the place, lots of Ivy trying to skive off work, and zombies, and Winter hanging around trying to work out

This is a really tough one to rate, because honestly, so much of it depends on what happens in the next book. I'm going to give it 3.5 stars, again, but round them up this time, because I'm hopeful.

Here's the thing: the problem through this series so far is the Order. They are a governmental organization, sort of like the Pentagon of witches, I suppose. This started off a bit slow for me and all the talk of how Ivy felt for Rafe all felt forced.

Once she got the set of the reality show she was undercover at things slowly, but surely started to get interesting.

I thought I knew who the culprit was several different times, but ALL of my guesses were wrong. Helen Harper completely pulled the wool (no pun intended) over my eyes.

I can't imagine what Ivy will get into next.

Ivy and Rafe

The setting is Witch Survivor in the Scottish Highlands. Ivy is a runner on her favorite show Enchantment. She actually working for The Order again spying on the crew trying to find a murderer.

I do enjoy Ivy and her irreverence, Her off-kilter flirting with Rafe and her talking cat (who’s spot on for cat attitude.)

As someone who has been watching Survivor since it first aired, this should've been a home run read for me. However, while I enjoyed it and the fact that the baddie remained a mystery for so long, I found it to be a slightly less enjoyable read than the first. Can't put my finger on why exactly - maybe because there was less interaction with Ivy & Winter ... (view spoiler) Nevertheless, I am loving this series an ...more
