Something came out in this book that left a sour taste in my mouth. (view spoiler) WTF? One, I hate this idea of female MCs being so freaking special that every man in the universe wants them (I mean, really) and two, the whole idea is so gross.

Love these books! I can never decide if I like the Charles & Ana books better, or the Mercy & Adam books. Usually it's whichever one I've just finished, lol. I've lost track of how many times I've reread the books in this series and I never get tired of revisiting the characters. I don't know how Patricia Briggs keeps coming up with such great stories but I'm not going to complain, just keep buying and reading them. ...more

I listened to the audiobook version of this book. It's not my favorite of this group but it's always good to return to this couple. I did like learning more about the Marouke and his mate, and hearing more about Mercy in her younger years. ...more

Wow um I binge read it n 4 hours... i think thats a new record for me! Now i need a cup of tea!
I need time to process the events of this book as well. So i might not do the best review and i apoligise.

First thing i have to say is, this is the first book that not only left me feeling it was incomplete but also left me a little disappointed. I was kinda looking forward to having an adoption journey play out somehow. But there was none of that. Instead we are introduced to new characters and taken
