What Members Thought
It wasn't bad, but it was kind of meh.
I think my biggest issue was seeing Tanner as some kind of swaggering badass. Having just re-read the first 4 books of the series - the Knox/Harper arc - my takeaway is that the sentinels are tstl and useless. I mean, look, Harper was assaulted and/or kidnapped like 75 times in 4 books, and Tanner was her personal bodyguard. He, in particular, seems terrible at his job.
Devon gets kidnapped and assaulted a few times - I think 3, maybe 4 - in this book. But at ...more

I’ve been waiting for this HEA since these two unlikely-to-be-paired hellbeasts first met each other. Wright did not disappoint.
As you’d expect, there are fantastic quips between these two, as always. One of my favorites:

Update: Jan 2022, finally got down to reading this after keeping it on the to-read list.
seems like a good decision to keep it forever on the to-read list, it was inches away from being DNFed.
The story is repetitive, the bonding between all was "yawn" boring.

I really enjoyed Devon/Tanners story. I still like Knox better than Tanner (Because no one can really complete with Know) but I definately liked Devon more than Harper. I just found her reactions more believable.
I liked how we're still getting to see Knox/Harper as well as all the other great characters in this one.
Look forward to Khloe/Keenan and hopefully Raini/Maddox story oh and a hellhorse story I thought I detected some interest a one point.
