The background about the bookstore was really interesting and I liked the MC, Violet.

What I enjoyed:
* the lore of the bookstore was really interesting although I don't know how much it really helped to solve the mystery
* I liked Violet. She had some really tough breaks and had basically been hiding in her PhD work. It was nice to see her get out some and start making friends again.
* Sadie was super sweet and seems like she'd be an awesome friend (view spoiler)
