REREAD 2/21/25
When I first read this book I gave it 4 stars but since rereading it I bumped it up to 5 stars. It was really worth it. I don't know why I didn't remember reading this book. Somethings I remembered but most of it I had forgotten. Especially the ending. WOW, how could I have forgotten what Annie did for Lee. I will move on to book 2 as soon as it gets here.

This book was a book I got as a recommend but from whom I have no clue. I know it was from a booktuber but I have no idea who. I have subscribed to a lot of new booktubers. Some of my oldies but still goodies have given out names to go to other booktubers channels. I love that the community is so close knit that way. Everyone trying to support everyone. Isn't that how it should be!!! I looked for Fireborne on my Overdrive and it was there so I checked it out. That was the best book choice I could have made. I found this book was entertaining. It had dragons (that's something I love to read about often but never seem to find a lot of), it had a school for dragonriders and tests to see how they rode on dragonbacks. The competitions were pretty hardcore. These riders that you learn to love get injured and burned from the fire their dragons breath out onto other riders. They have these flame suits they wear that releases a coolant to stop their skin from being burned further then it already is in these duals. There is a lot of politics in this book that I find very interesting and they wear wrist cuffs to show what class their in (Gold, Silver, bronze, iron)and things like food are given to them according to their wristband colors.

There is so much that goes on in this book that it's hard not to give away to much without spoiling or confusing anyone. It all makes sense when you read the book. It was amazing.

The only reason it didn't get 5 stars is because there were parts that lagged on occasion but not enough for me to lose interest. I always wanted to pick this book up over all the other books I had going. Even over Harry Potter (GASP I know)

HIGHLY RECOMMEND this book. Get ready for a fun, action packed, bumpy, dragon-y ride LOL. ...more
