Although not as great as its adrenaline-pumping predecessor, Kitty Goes to War was a good fast read. I especially enjoyed everything to do with the werewolf super-soldiers and Kitty's attempt to rehabilitate them. This was very realistic and kept me turning those pages with enthusiasm.

However, I really didn't like what happened with Cormac or the fallout from the libel case against Kitty. I know that this was part of the series story arc but it took something away from the main plot, which was ...more

All in all I wasn't very impressed with this installment of the Kitty Norville series. It truly got a 3.5 stars for me. Don't get me wrong I enjoyed the plot, the action, and characters. Just that the story itself with military cooperation was just laughable. A good portion of this seemed like a tour of the fort itself, and not the gritty and greasy reality of what soldiers actually do. I liked the idea of werewolf soldiers, but I felt like it feel a little flat. Also, I was glad to have Cormac back but I wanted to know more about what happened to him in prison. Guess I have to wait for his short story.
