Loved it! Never knowing for sure who's good or bad or entirely what Daddy Dearest's intentions are makes for quite a ride.

I feel like this has turned into a serial where you have to remember what happened early in the series to even know what’s going on. Fortunately this one at least didn’t end on a total cliffhanger. But the plot is getting convoluted, endless, and boring. I’m tired of the watercolor people and the veiled ones and ghosts and it’s been a few books since the author reminded the reader what the difference is. I read or listened to 400 books last year. I need quick reminders.

The storey is developing and it is obvious that the author has gotten comfortable with the characters by the way the story is flowing now.

Great series, Allie is quite fun, though she spends quite a lot of time in Death in this book, and Zayvion is mostly unconscious until it is time to save the day (convenient).
