Nora has survived the attempts on her life and her boyfriend Patch is now her guardian angel. Despite his new role, Patch seems to be acting anything but angelic being more mysterious than usual and spending time with Marcie Millar who has tormented Nora for years. But when an old family friend Scott Parnell moves back to town, Nora realises something is off with him and finds herself drawn even deeper into the angelic/Nephilim worlds.

This is the second book in the Hush, Hush series (after Hush,

My Thoughts: While I liked the overall pace and action of the story the character change of Nora was odd. The one thing I liked in the first book was that she wasn't your typical teenager falling all over the new hot guy. This book starts a few months later and suddenly she's a clingy obsessed girlfriend who cannot think for herself. She got a little better towards the end of the book but still seemed to be doing things on the fly without really thinking about them. While her relationship with P ...more

Let's see what was wrong? It was a mix of predictability, nothing really happening from the first page to the last and a really annoying heroine, who is as childish, unfair and insensitive as they come (poor patch). She actually yells at him to LEAVE, then expects him to magically appear when she's in danger (which he does the poor lovestruck fool). Lets just say Bella and Nora could swap notes on irritability!!!!

*takes deep breath* I'll pass on the next one.

A book away from an episode of hoarders
I really enjoyed Hush, Hush and was eager to read this sequel...

That said, I was extremely frustrated with the characters and I wanted to throttle (almost all of) them throughout the book.

However, I read it in one frantic (secretly extended) lunch break at work. My teeth are still clenched from the frustration I felt when I reached the end.

Its not fair having to wait for the next one. There is a next one, right? There better be.

Stayed up all night reading this!!! I don't know if it's just because I'm pregnant and emotional but this book had me in knots. Nora and Patch fighting, saying mean things to each other, Marcie as a new love interest for Patch, ugh...it was anguish! And finally, the cliff hanger. Why did I not know this ended in a cliff hanger?? I hate it when this happens...luckily Book 3 is around the corner! ...more

Excellent, and just as gripping as the first title.
One word of advice though: massive cliffhanger of doom! (ok, that was 4 words... but, when does the next book come out? First chapter teaser?)
