This book picks off soon after the events of Firespell. Lilly and Scout are back fighting for the Enclave, dodging the popular girls and worrying about fall formal. They do have a few problems, however. The Reapers are still after Scout, a certain Reaper is mysteriously interested in Lilly, there is mysterious slime in the sewers (no I didn't make that up), and there is some sort of vampire turf war. Hexbound picks up where Firespell left off. Lily is still learning about her powers and that of the Adepts. Let me start by saying I LOVE Chole Neill! I am a huge fan of her adult series and when I saw she put out a YA series I rushed out to get the first book, I didn't LOVE it like I did her adult series but I did like it. I thought it was a lot of fun in ways her adult series couldn't be. This wasn't a OMGWTFBBQ! gotta have it the second it comes out for me but I was happy to sit down with it once I got to it. I enjoyed Lilly and Scout and there friendship reminds me of my BBF at that age and myself
