This was a bit of a madcap jaunt through a paranormal mystery. Esther Diamond is a chorus girl, and understudy to Golly Gee, the main “star” of a production of Sorcerer! when havoc erupts (as it does). I'll keep it short and sweet. Why I liked this book is because it featured a good-natured female protagonist who was struggling professionally but still took the time to help others. She's also stubborn in the right way and doesn't take crap from anyone. The colorful and quirky crowd she hangs out with only made me like her more.

Was three stars until the ending.
The book is funny but sometimes kind of forced and/or slapstick. There is a lot of talking and explaination. I’m not sure how much of it could be shown rather than told but it could have been broken up better so there was more action to keep the narrative going. It was also unnecessarily long. I’m not an idiot; I understood without all the extra explanation. I was getting bored.
