I was a bit disappointed by this book. I was desperate to get a hold of an ARC, but it never happened so I was super excited to finally get a copy. Sadly The Inheritance Games didn’t live up to my expectations. Overall it had interesting points. ⁣It was pretty fast paced and never really boring.⁣

I have to say this right off the bat: the covers for this series are legit incredible! How can you look at the covers for the books in this series and not get swept away by them? They are magnificent!

One of my favorite YA authors that I have always enjoyed ever since I was in my mid-twenties was Jennifer Lynn Barnes after reading and falling in love with her book Tattoo. She is one author whom I have followed her works and different series, enjoying some more than others but the majority enjoying. The Inheritance Games was in the pile of ones I enjoyed and OMG that freaking cliffhanger ending has made me wishing Book #2 was already out and published, though it's still sitting Untitled at thi ...more

A fun puzzle-solving ride. This is very much Knives Out inspired, especially the reference to 'my house, my rules.'

I didn't care for the so called 'romantic' bits. *Love triangle alert*. Other than an intelligent and savvy main character with whom I sympathised, I didn't particularly like any of the characters. I admired the head of security Oren and lawyer Alisa for being loyal to Avery and doing their jobs well. That's it.
