When, oh when, will we get Bluebell and Aodhan’s book? Will we? Ever? Soon? Please?

That plea aside, I really enjoyed this installment even though it was all matchup and cleanup. Still, loved these two together and how they took each other by surprise.

With the war over, it’s time to get to know more about other characters in this world. Titus has been a huge presence when he is part of the narrative, but not so much that he’s obnoxious. I have enjoyed Titus as a character since I began this series and love him all the more now that I know more of his story. Sharine has been a gentle presence throughout the series so far. She started to come out of her fog at the end of the last book and this book really does a great job of tracking her histor ...more

Boring unneeded book. It was the same thing over and over for three hundred pages. I only gave it two stars because of the glimpses of Illium and Aodhan we got to see. When we finally get both of their books it better not be boring or I will be one unhappy reader.

Dunno if you've read my review of the book before this one, but I mentioned how annoying all the telling and repetition can get when it comes to this series. That continues to be the case here too. It turned zombie hunting boring! And even though the choice of leads--both are older and the heroine is actually an Ancient-- was unusual, the story followed a predictable plot. ...more
