For a series that I generally love, I had a surprisingly tough time with this installment.

I'm tired of Alice and her pigheaded martyr complex. And her nonsense - like, why was she so awful to Daniel? I didn't get it and I think she's being an absolute dick to someone who doesn't deserve it.

Also, I think the Dominic Morelli arc didn't help the book. To be clear, I don't blame Alice for what happened with him 5 years ago. She was young, fresh out of hell, trying to find her feet, and desperate to ...more

I’ve been following Alice’s journey from the beginning when I discovered the series as a Kindle Unlimited Recommendation based on other books I’ve read using KU.

“It was an offhand comment. How did I know she was going to run with it and come up with something crazy like this?”
