I know I've jumped into the middle of the series, so the world building was a little strange. Just means I'll have to read from the beginning.
Loved the characters in this one and the mix of real life & magic & Gods/Goddesses, not to mention all the ways to perform a perfect murder on the scheming nasty ex.
Really enjoyed it, shame it was so short.

Dakota is the mother of a deity to be (Hestia) and still dealing with a horrible ex and missing her son.
What I enjoyed:
* Everyone was very murderous
* Viktor from the CDC, he was exactly what Dakota needed
* nice ending
What could have been better:
* It was too short and thus less detailed than I would have liked
