DNF@ 70% - I liked the premise and the world building, but the pacing of the plot was interminable and there was just too much going on and too many consequential characters to hold my attention. Once Jessie was rescued by Anatoly and met the president it just felt like the pace plateaued and we were in exposition for what should really be a second novel. There's just too many good books on my TBR to read to continue on with this one.

Stars fell from the sky and the world changed. People either became shifters or mystics or dead.
The combustion engine failed, guns usually didn't work and electricity was pretty much non-existent. So blades of all kinds, and horses became the norm. Into this world there was a Clan that had children who choose their gender & faces when they were about 10, as it was a warrior clan, every kid chose male, until one didn't.
