Charles' and Anna's story continues right where we left off in Alpha and Omega.

I didn't like this book as much as the Mercy Thompson series - Anna's mood swings during the first half of the story were just plain annoying and the book relied too much on romance. On the other hand, I really love Patricia Briggs' world and I loved Charles, Samuel, Bran, Tag, Asil and Sage very much. And I actually teared up in some places - Patricia Briggs has a great talent for emotional scenes: Doc Wallace's funeral, Walter's fate... So yeah, I do prefer the "Mercedes Thompson" series but I

Cry Wolf picked up right where the novella from On the Prowl ended. (By the way, if you haven't read that novella, don't start reading this book.)

I haven't read the Mercy books, or any others by Briggs, so I have nothing to compare this to. This is a tremendous novel. Werewolves, witches, crazy mountain men, sweet love stories and old passions. Anna and Charles, our titular Alpha and Omega, are a great couple who are learning to become one. I very much am looking forward to the next book.

First book I'm reading on my Kindle...so far so good. Finished the book and really like it and am looking forward to reading the second book.
