4.5 stars. I'm a fan of the forbidden love between a cardinal Psy, secretly flawed Sascha Duncan and Leopard Alpha, Lucas Hunter. Sascha feels emotions and she's isolated in the Psy world of the unfeeling.

* PsyNet ~ psychic connectivity between Psy, essential for Psy mental health
* Lucas Hunter ~ leopard changeling alpha, gorgeous flirt
* Sascha Duncan has black eyes, indicating she was a cardinal, but not manifesting her powers

Meh. That's how I felt about this book.
It was good. I didn't race home to read it nor did I skimp on doing the dishes for an hour or two just so I could sit down and read. Maybe it was the cover that scared me off. I'm sorry but the lettering reminds me of Dirty Dancing in the 80's. Even the movie was meh to me while almost everyone else liked it.
I wasn't interested in the romance part of the book. What hooked me was the storyline involving the missing women and who the culprit could be. By the ...more

I've already read a later book in this series and was fascinated by the wider world, so I've skipped back to the first. I shall definitely be reading more. I like the dynamics of the changeling packs, and the idea of the three main species in the world: Changeling, Psy, and Human. All the characters were strong and interesting, even those who only featured fairly peripherally, and I'm looking forward to reading more in this universe and seeing where the ongoing story arc is going. ...more
