Caressed by Ice on Books On Track
If you ignore the biiig words and the over the top love pronouncements this book is a very enjoyable one.
Judd's struggles with Silence were interesting, as was his Conditioning as an Arrow -- a secret Psy assassin.
Brenna's overcoming of her trauma and learning to deal with her new reality and her feelings towards Judd were nothing too original, but the whole story was fun to read about.
I'll say it again, the series may be kind of too much at times but the world ...more

A strong-willed, violated changeling wolf. An elite exiled Psy assassin. Two people touched with darkness will find the light together.
The third book in Nalini Singh’s Psy/Changeling series, Caressed by Ice is about Judd Lauren and Brenna Shane Kinkaid, two characters we have met in the previous books. Brenna, after surviving the brutal kidnapping and torture she had suffered under the hands of the Psy Concil Member Enrique Santana, is now in the process of mending. However, her dreams are plagu ...more

3.5 stars
I like this book better than the 2nd one.
Judd and Brenna are definitely interesting and strong characters, struggles with their own scars and inner demon.
We first know Brenna in book 1 (story of Lucas and Sascha) as the survivor of sociopath Psy killer, Enrique Santano. After the tragedy, Brenna is no longer the same innocent and carefree. She carries her wound deep and she refuse to be healed properly by Sascha (an E-Psy) and wanted to put everything behind her and move on.

An excellent addition to what is turning out to be an excellent series. And I usually don't use that word lightly. Singh's world - populated by Psy, Changelings, and humans - is well developed, and the back story to the romances are as well developed as any mainstream science fiction or fantasy author, if not better than some. Like most series of this nature, however, I would definitely read the books in order, as the plot tends to develop as the series progresses.

Book three helped to wrap up a ton of loose ends; while leaving new avenues for Nalini to go down.
Brenna went through a horrible ordeal in the first book, and the events surrounding her abduction and ultimate rescue hadn't been fully explored.
Judd is a great addition to the main characters in the series. He is complex and can develop more as the series progresses. His daughter also can develop more now because of their unique connection.
I enjoyed some of the philosophical points that the author ...more

I wasn’t feeling it for this book.
I remember reading the first two books and remember what happened that lead to Brenna being rescued, but I felt like I was missing something between the point when she was rescued and then now they’re buddy-buddy on the verge of being mated. I didn’t connect to Brenna at all. Judd, on the other hand, I totally got. But I think it’s because I’m cold blooded and think I’m a secret ninja.

I loved this story. There was action and intrigue as well as the love story. A fun read, I didn't want to put down.
I just re-read this installment and it is still great. I loved it. ...more
