The author was recommended to me by a friend. I enjoyed the her writing style and may check out her other books. This one was interesting, but I kept waiting for something really interesting to happen - it finally did about 95% in, then things really came together quickly.

A solid, spooky read. Not as scary or as graphic as I had anticipated. Definitely more of a mystery than horror. I'll admit I had to flip back a few times to keep track of what time period I was reading about, because some of the characters act in the past and present.

Predictable horror/murder mystery. Somewhat entertaining. The motel was maybe the best character.

That was great. Loved all the characters. Ghosts, murders, creepiness, mystery, wee bit of romance, some excellent girlfriends.
