Summoned to Thirteenth Grave wraps up Jones’ Charley Davidson series in a way that I think fans of the series will appreciate. Many, really most, threads running throughout the previous twelve books were resolved. A couple remain and those leave me hoping, wishing, on-the-verge-of-begging for a spin-off down the road.

If you want to know how I've suffered at the hands of this series, read my reviews of the previous books. This was the last one, though. I thought I'd get a satisfying conclusion at the very least. I was wrong. Don't you just hate it when someone loses their identity because they take on an additional role in life? That's what Charley -- the protagonist -- had become after having a kid. I’m devastated that this series is over, but what...a...ride! There was so much packed into this book, but it all worked and flowed really well. By “the end” my heart couldn’t take any more surprises and/or revelations. I laughed...I sobbed...my emotions went through the wringer on this one, but it was so worth it! I think all the big questions were answered by the end of the story...but more questions were generated also. I really hope Beep’s story is told one day...it would be amazing to enter ...more
