What Members Thought
This book was….cute. I don’t know if I have much of a desire to continue with the series. So many times I stopped and checked to make sure I wasn’t reading a middle school or YA book. The humor was juvenile. Very juvenile. So much so that I rolled my eyes at least twice a chapter, if not more. Don’t get me wrong, I adore a good story with dashes of humor sprinkled throughout to ease tension & give a needed giggle. But I prefer dry, witty banter, not kiddie humor. I ended-up taking off an extra star because it took forever to feel like the story was starting. I like many aspects of the story, but there are others that feel a little unfinished, and not in terms of plot. I will definitely read the next and I’m interesting in hopefully getting stories from the other Bennett sister’s perspectives.
Fun look at curse weavers and breakers, with some luck workers in the side, that takes a turn part way through. Interesting, and interested to see where the slowburner romance goes.
