Born to Be a Badger is another winner for Laurenston’s Honey Badger Chronicles series that take place in the Pride world she created.

As usual, the badgers personalities shone through and the plot moved forward in a direction that should bring plenty of drama and action. The romance between Tock and Shay is quite lovely if a bit slow, but what really takes center stage is the relationship between the Badger teammates and their insane family dynamics.

I absolutely adore this series and the world Sh

Our feisty heroine is Tock, a honey badger, basketball teammate of Max MacKilligan, Nelle, Streep and Mads of the last book.

Our laidback hero is Shay Malone, Amur tiger shifter, dad of Dani, brother to Keane, Finn of the last book and Dale.

Lots of action, plenty of maths, puppies, poison, Stevie, murder & mayhem of baddies, and heaps of cameos of nearly every shifter from previous books.

Revenge is the reason for most of the action, from both sides.

This story ends rather abruptly, but just makes

This latest installment into the world of honey badgers had so much going on. This is not a book to start reading this series. In fact you almost need a cheat sheet to keep track of all of the characters in this book.

Emily, "Tock" Meyerson-Jackson is called away to take care of a certain matter involving trafficking of humans for sport. As she is leaving, tiger shifter Shay Malone decides that he's going with her on her secret quest. She doesn't tell him anything about her mission, she just ask

Written by AI?

I noticed the weird grammar mistakes from the beginning. After that, I was weirded out by the number of extra characters who seemed to all share one personality.

Then 91-92% in the cake topper: Streep was referred to as ‘the actress’.

She’s not an actress, as we know. But I can see how AI could make that mistake.

Additionally, she’s now been retconned as both gay and in a relationship since high school. The gay part is fine, I’d probably like her fiancée. But since high school? Lik

Tock and her team get involved in an international issue (view spoiler)

What I enjoyed:
* Nice to see a shifter parent. Shay is a great dad and Dani is adorable.
* The romance was just so-so, but this series is more about the overall relationships and mayhem than romance
* I enjoyed getting to know Tock better and her grandmother is super scary
* I want Charlie as a big sister

What could have been better:
* I like seeing the characters from the previous book
