A pretty good start for a series. It seems like the original book was probably a lot longer and condensed with a somewhat heavy hand.
I like Fiona, the main character and her extended Irish cop family. They are a bit cliche, but also do not ring false necessarily. The magic/world-building in this book is pretty solid. I'm looking forward to reading the second book. ...more
