I thoroughly enjoyed this book!

Shea was confused in the beginning. Her memories of her past incarnations are beginning to break thru, but she doesn't realize what is happening. Her aunt Maira was burned as a witch 10 years previously, and Shea has been watched by the government to see if she has the same abilities. She doesn't trust anyone, and although she does not believe herself to be a witch, she uproots herself and moves whenever she begins to feel threatened.

The world building in this book is excellent. Whilst it is set in a contemporary setting, you can almost feel the flames and hysteria of Salem.

The Awakening is beginning and that means that witches all over the world are coming into their powers. It has been 800 years since their great mistake in opening a dimensional hell gate, and the atonement has passed.
