I am really liking this series. Lots of action and humor, and the characters we met in the first book get more fleshed out in this one.

I love Atticus, he's just a guy, and it's nice reading a male character written by a man. Fills a little bit of the void waiting for the next Harry Dresden. And I love how his power is earth based--his appreciation and respect for the earth warms me. Such a beautiful, natural power.

And Oberon, the wolfhound, is still a funny kick in the ass--Jim the demon dog d

I want to marry (read: have sex with) Atticus and have his Druid babies.

You see, Atticus is my kind of man. He’s smart, well-educated, well-spoken, with a sense of humor, caring, loyal to his friends, irreverent and tough but with enough confidence that he doesn’t have to go around posturing. He also communes with the Earth and is a great cook. What’s not to like? (He’s a redhead and pale but hey, nobody’s perfect.)

I loved this book. It was full of non-stop action and a lot of humor

Fun light read. Very funny in parts and I was very sad in another. Lots of action although not any real mortal danger. Lots of sex and sexual innuendos and the protagonist is turned on by all remotely attractive women but then he is a druid and likes to run around naked. He's a bit self-congratulatory but in a very real and reasonable way: he's been around for 2100 years and has killed a god. In this book we find that he respects and is respected by the Christian pantheon and he shows grief in r ...more

Action packed, fast paced and with a healthy dose of humor, this is the next part of the Atticus, the iron druid's adventures.

Atticus is trying to deal with the aftermath of the events of the first book, while at the same time trying to survive attacks from various fronts now that he's lost his anonymity in the magical world.

Witches, goddesses and secret organizations make their appearance in this story, and Atticus uses his many many years of experience to make deals and

This follow-up to Hounded was funny and fast-paced. The characters are fleshing out nicely and the rough patches in the plot are smoothing out as well.

Atticus himself was as witty as ever. He's dealing with the unwanted rep he received after the events of the first book, while still trying to lay low and just manage his shop. Oberon provided needed levity in some scenes and was still quite adorable.

The Polish witches took a central role in this story and I imagine we will be seeing them as Atti

The best way to experience this book is in its audio form, read by Luke Daniels. I just love the voice he has given to Oberon. Wonderful.

I laughed so hard listening to the audio book. It's beautifully written, one of the best urban fantasies out there, hands down. The best part is Atticus' attitude, 2000 years old and no "woe is me attitude" which is a pretty rare thing. I just love the way he views life in general, his friends and even his adversaries. He always finds something cheerful to look

Review originally posted on Bitten Books and given 5 stars.

Atticus O'Sullivan, the last of the Druids, knows better than most that witches aren't trustworthy and usually mean trouble. So when he finds himself under magical attack there's no reason not to suspect it's the doings of the local witches despite the nonaggression treaty they have in the works. It turns out things are much more complicated because said local witches were attacked as well and lost one of their own. Malina needs Atticus

This was another fun installment of the adventures of Atticus, his trusty dog Oberon and their many friends. I swear, if Atticus had a car it would be a light blue Volkswagon Vanagon.
I especially liked seeing more of Lief and Hal. Other than the fact that one is a werewolf and the other is a vampire, I can't tell them apart. In fact, just thinking about them is making me laugh.
The next book is going to be fun because everyone's going to storm Asgaard? If it is anything like the battle at the e

Okay, this second novel just nails it for me. I'm reading this series.

Once again, I'm comparing this to the Dresden Files books, but I do so in the best way possible.
