What Members Thought

Along with the glossary of BDB terms in the front of the book, Ward needed to include a list of pop culture references one should be familiar with in order to keep up with all the metaphors she included.
I felt like I was on the outside looking in to the circle of all the cool people that got them right away. And honestly, a lot of them were unnecessary really.

I ended up reading this one right after the previous book. The stories continue from where we left them and I was curious about how some of them would evolve, but Payne and her story's nothing like what I was expecting. It may seem hard to believe after knowing what we do about Payne, but she's a freakin' damsel in distress for most of this book.

This book disappointed me. It felt like there was a disconnect between the author telling a story that was interwoven to a main overall plot and telling 3 separate stories. Some of the stories didn't go anywhere and seemingly had no point.
I still love how Ward writes her Alpha's - Strong, good moral fiber, and lovable, however the women need some help. I think it would have been better to develop Jane's character more instead of just making her out as smart and a great asset to the brothers. I ...more

Great read, the story is really expanding now, with lots of new characters. Theres so much packed in, each new strand gets only a small amount of "screen-time" - some main characters are name-dropped but not really present - but that just leaves you wanting the next book! Blay and Qhuinn are progressing, the lead-up for that has been so long, not sure if we'll get relief any time soon though as there are so many other stories playing out too. Love this series!

Not as good as previous books but I enjoyed it nonetheless. A little too much about V and we already had a book about him. I would have loved to seen more of the rest of the brothers too. I do like Payne quite a bit. She is definitely V's twin sister.

Not my least favorite of the series, but not one of the better ones either. This was just a necessary hurdle to get to Tohr and Qhuay's books.
