3.5 stars. Interesting end to the trilogy. I didn't love it but I was captivated. I liked that Chloe struggled with her powers and used her brains, but I didn't like it that she was so wishy washy (view spoiler)

A fitting and exciting end to the trilogy. I will admit there are few questions I'd still like answered--mostly having to do with Chloe's parents--and it's clear that these kids have many more adventures ahead of them. However, the ending Armstrong offers does seem more in tune with the rest of the story, so I'll just have to suck it up and hope that someday we can revisit these characters and find out what the future has in store for them!

I was really looking forward to the last of Chloe, et al 's stories, but even though the writing was fine, I did not like where the story went at all. It was with a lot of disappointment that I read the last page. Most of the story has the characters very sedentary in the same location simply waiting for something to happen. When the ending does decide to come around, we learn almost nothing new about the kids and next to nothing about the adults, which were as superfluous as it gets.

I really enjoyed this trilogy. If you like Kelley Armstrong's Women of the Otherworld series, give these books a try. They are based in the same world & you will recognize names & places from her adult series. To me, it is a little medley of all Armstrong's best supernaturals--there's a necromancer, a werewolf, a wizard & a witch. Yes, they're YA books and there is no "adult content", but if you can live with that, they're really good books. :)

I absolutely loved this series! I was so sad to see it end, but I'm excited to see she has another YA series coming soon. I truly hopes she revisits these characters in the future since I'd love to see what adventures they discover.

I usually love Kelley Armstrong's books. I guess that it seemed like most paranormal YA books and wasn't that special.

But...that's it? No explanation about the necklace or the Cabal? No resolution with the Edison Group? Disappointing.
