I was sooo wary going into this book. I didn't enjoy Meyers' Twilight series, other then the first book. So I was pleasantly surprised as I read this.
I will not lie something with the ending bugged me slightly, like it was just tossed on at the last minute. I do hope she writes the next book soon though. ...more

I was on the second page when i suddenly and without any rational explanation stop reading, close my nook and never to be open again.
I don't know why. After a deep conversation with my inner self....

I know that i'm too scared to read another book by Stephenie Meyer. My traumatic experience from reading Twilight has not yet healed. The scars are still bleeding.
I'm so afraid that by reading "Host" i again be the victim of a wasteland she calls book.

I wanted to like this more, but fundamentally, it comes down to...I really like vampires more than aliens. Two souls inhabiting one body was an interesting premise, but I didn't love either consciousness.
