This was a fun read. I've read the first one and now this one which is either 3rd or 9th not sure. Rule big strong silent type, Abby short plump and plain. Fun couple, that the author makes work. A real easy read, with little depth, but oodles of escapist romance and a bit of hot sex. Absolute hot bath material.

As an urban fantasy, it's good stuff. Evil fiends from Below plot to cast the solus spell and render the world in perpetual darkness, causing Hell on Earth. The Others plot to save the day. All the usuals are there - werewolves, witches, demons - plus the unusuals - werejaguars, satyrs, imps.
As a paranormal romance, the heroine Abby is an annoying, argumentative brat with few redeeming qualities and the demon Rule is, well, one of those sterling, alpha male types that are too good to be true.
