I enjoy the premise of these stories, however, the heroine, Andra was a self-centred one-track bitch. OK, I can image trying everything to save your sister's life, and closing yourself off so you don't get hurt by people you love leaving or dying. But. To imagine yourself as a child, with no training and never having seen a monster before, that it is your fault your mother & sister are dead & your other sister is mad, is ridiculous.
