Kitty and Jeff are getting married. But first they have to figure out who is spying on them, why, and trying to kill them. Kitty also has to face a test to see if she is worthy of Jeff. Oh, and Jeff is a member of the royal family.
I have to admit that this was a fun series until this book. This book just annoyed me. Kitty's angst (she loves Chucky! She loves Jeff!) got so old. I am so over it. Then there were the alien assassins. Strong women who are (wait for it) lesbians and hate men. I think ...more

Kitty & Martini have been engaged for 6 months but are finding it extremely difficult to commit to any wedding choices. Martini wants everything to be just right and Kitty doesn't want to lie to her friends and family who don't know about the Aliens.
Meanwhile there is a succession problem on Alpha Centauri and it looks like Martini is about to be tapped on the shoulder when a delegation from the Planetary Council shows up. But not all is as it seems.

These books are such fun and Kitty is great heroine. I think that you have to go into them with a sense that they are female wish fulfillment in the same way Bond or Reacher are for men. I cannot recommend this series enough. Gini Koch's humor shines again, providing an entertaining treat of a book.
Kitty and Jeff's relationsihp continues to grow and, while he wasn't my first pick, I'm not unhappy with their relationship. To be honest, Jeff actually provides a good balance to Kitty's humor and snark. We also get a deeper look at Kitty and Reader's friendship as well as visiting other friends from the previous books. I loved this book as much as the others in the series!!! It's like a roller coaster, pulling you every which way. I love the way Gini Koch writes, it's so fast it leaves you kinda breathless, and not to spoil it for anyway, I loved the amount of detail that she put into the wedding... well worth the read
