I don't know what to say about this one, I had such high hopes after the first book but this one fell a little short. If I'm honest it should probably be rated about 3.5Stars.

I can't quite put my finger on what was wrong about it but I think the "love interest" part didn't help. It felt forced, as if it was just there because there had to be someone, it didn't feel like a natural progression at all.

2.5-stars- This was one of the books I had most been looking forward to this year. The previous book was a 5-star read and I loved the world the author had created. I was ready to lump Nikki in with Kate and Mercy, that's how much I liked it. Unfortunately this one fell flat for me and was really mostly a disappointment. I think romance fans may be happy with how her and Jamaal's relationship takes a new turn, but I felt like the direction the author went took away from the series as a whole. Th ...more

A lot can be said about a book that makes you read it inspite of having a flu that requires complete bed rest. Nikki Glass did that for me. i like her. Her story is gearing up to be a Night Huntress favorite by another good author. I'm excited about where her love interest is going, I'm a sucker for romance all the time. I just hope the interest doesn't pan out once I get that out on the next books. I will be checking out her other works while waiting for this series third installation. :-) ...more

Bit slow to start, and characters are a bit shit - why do I care about any of you really? - but I will keep going. Not sure where the story is going, but its entertaining so far.
