This is the weakest book in the series when you consider the couple. I didn't buy into Elizabeth and Niall's romance. It was the constant chase, kidnapping, and deception. And a convenient pairing of someone who has LOTS of sexual experience with a virgin. Barf. A big no thanks. So why four stars? Well, everything else. My thoughts on this particular book are a bit disappointed...I am a fan of Ms. Bast's work and this looked to be a great read...The cover art is absolutely stunning and after reading the summary of what the story was about, I was excited to read it ...So I settled in and was ready to go on a fantastic journey and then it just all kind of fell flat for me...Interesting premise, loved the world building, however, couldn't get into either of the leads, both the male and female. I'm not sure if this is the last book in the series, but the way it ended, leads me to believe that it probably is the last book. I'm a little sad about that.

I don't particularly know why I liked this Fae series. It was really dark, the characters and storyline were complex and complicated. Some of the words and names were hard to decipher at times. Even with all that, I found it fascinating, entertaining and I spend a lot of time trying to figure out what would happen next.
