This is the theme of Taken by Storm. Overcoming your weaknesses by mastering them. Taking control. Bryn suffers through her fears, the pain and grief of loss, and quickly adjusts to rise above it in time to take revenge. It isn't as sweet or as lengthy as I was hoping for but it achieved the much hoped for results.

I'm giving this a 5 under the condition that a sequel will be written with some serious changes in Bryn's life. Otherwise, it's totally a 2.5. Ugh. If you like to angst, grovel, and sob over your books, look no farther. I only like to do all that stuff if there's some hope on the horizon, so yeah...waiting on this sequel.

Side note: there is a huge plot hole in this book that I haven't seen a lot of people addressing. Callum is single. He's been single the entire time. A powerful, complex man of ...more

How can a book be so good and yet such so bad at the same time? I was ok with the ending, until I realized that there was not going to be a 4th book. I understand the author's reason for doing it :
