It's been quite some time since the last Chance book, but I find her writing just as engrossing as ever.

Chance creates fabulous, fully-realised characters. It makes re-visiting her world a remarkably easy feat. There's always some scene - either insanely funny or heart-stoppingly emotional - to associate with her leads and secondaries, branding them unforgettable.

While Fury's Kiss is gut-bustingly funny, dominated by a super kickass female character and demonstrates in-depth character growth and development, I've finally deciphered what bothers me about works by Karen Chance.

I'm glad a friend advised a re-read because after six years I'd forgotten a lot of what happened in this installment. Now, being fully refreshed, I'm more excited about starting Shadow's Bane, if that's even possible.

OMG!! How much have I missed Karen Chance? I seriously forgot how much I love this series as it has been so long since the last book. I have always preferred Dory to Cassie but this book has cemented it amongst my favourite UF series.

I was torn between wanting to savour every line and rushing through to the end to find out what happens. There is so much going on in these books but I wasn't confused and although wordy at times, I understood everything being explaine wth out needing to re-read it. ...more
